About

Since its founding in 1938 as an “organization created to fill the need for a Swiss Society with cultural aims,” the New Helvetic Society has maintained a proud tradition as a preeminent social meeting place for people with Swiss connections in the Delaware Valley region, showing an unwavering commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship and goodwill between the Swiss and American people.

The NHS celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2013, and going forward we are united in the goal of upholding and honoring the remarkably diverse blend of language, culture, history and customs that make the Swiss unique on the European continent, and that continue to make an important difference in the Tri-State area and the United States as a whole.

Join us as we approach our century as a society, committed as ever to maintain the bonds of friendship in the 21st century.
