Our society was just informed that Mr. Edward Brandenberger passed away on December 16, 2017.
Mr. Brandenberger joined the NHS in 1995 and was a frequent attendee at annual meetings and social event.
The board and all members extend deepest sympathy to Mrs. Dorothy Brandenberger and her families.

Edward G. Brandenberger age 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 16, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born in Evansville, Indiana. |
Ed was a graduate of Michigan State University. He served in the United States Army during World War II. and worked on The Manhattan Project. After the war he was a Chemist with the DuPont Company for 39 Y2 years. After his retirement from DuPont, Ed spent 22 years as a guide at Hagley Museum. He retired from Hagley 7 years ago. |
Ed is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy D. Brandenberger (Damon); his 3 children, Elaine Sinclair, Dr. William B. Brandenberger (Rebecca), and E. Thomas Brandenberger. Also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Seth, Carrie, Gareth, Sam, and Morgan, as well as 12 great grandchildren. |
A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Thursday December 28, at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, where friends may greet the family from 11:00 am until Noon. Interment will follow the service at the VA Cemetery in Bear, DE. |
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Ed’s memory to a charity of your choice. |
